Mirror, Mirror--Who's the Next to Die? Book Blurp

Cher'ley Posted by Cher'ley at 05:53 PM on November 05, 2009 Comments comments (1)

Jill McKeel, an ambitious FBI agent, has lofty goals--to protect the innocent, make her daddy proud and to someday become Chicago's top dog. Right now she needs to stop a copycat murderer who has been dubbed the American Beauty Killer. In order to do that, she will have to go back to 1923 to find the original serial killer and she will have to do it in 24 hours. To complicate things, she can't take anything with her that did not exist before 1923--no glock--no money--no underwear.

Jack Tucson is gruff to most people but gentle to his five year old daughter and to his partner, Jill. He's smart. He's tough. He's a realist. Can he continue to believe in Jill when her past mental issues keep popping up?

Marjorie O'Shea, a flapper, is stuck in limbo. She was murdered in 1923. She can't go to her final resting place until two things happen--her murderer is discovered and her baby is located.

Crime Bake Future Attendees

Hi Everyone,

One of the members informed me that not everyone could read and comment on the other blog I started for us to get together before the conference. Here's the link to the Google Blog. I'll see if it will work from here. http://crimebakefutureattendees.blogspot.com/

I've had a wonderful response from other future attendees, who are interested in meeting each other ahead of time. I hope you will go to each of their websites and follow their other links to better get to know them and I hope they will do the same thing for you.

On here I also have a Discussion Page which has a forum and I have a chat page. I don't monitor either of them on a regular basis, but I can if some of you are interested in either. Maybe we can even set up a couple of nights of chat before the con.

I'm glad you stopped by. Leave a comment and read everyone else's comments.

We're at a great place. Tobyhanna, PA. We're in safe haven. Have to

stay with the trailer (load), but we can walk around or what ever.

There's a great lake and a little wooded area. Lizzie and I got up

early and walked around. She even went swimming. It was so funny. She

ran back and forth along the bank. I'd say "Att" before she jumped in

and she'd run some more. Then she stepped in the edge, she's like "Oh

Mom, sorry, that was an accident." She did that twice and since I

didn't say anything, she jumped all the way in and wadded around. She

doesn't swim, you know.

Anyway, there's benches around the lake and picnic tables. Now there

are people here fishing so I just set up our folding chairs and table

by the truck and I'm getting a little sun while I'm surfing the net. I

have my bills and receipts out here with me too, maybe I'll get some

work done. Or not. LOL. It's already 1 pm. I also cleaned "The Attic".

That's our top bunk where we toss everything and once a week I sort

through it and move it from one place to another.

I didn't brave my bathing suit, but I have on my tank top and short

shorts. I also have the jacket that Carol gave me laying behind me,

because when the sun goes behind the clouds, it gets pretty chilly.

3 days ago the Pacific Ocean, today a lake in PA. Pretty nice week. The bad part was sitting for a week in Ca. Had fun, but it doesn't pay well. Go to my More Family Photo links on here to view some pictures.

Easily Distracted (Over and Over)

Cher'ley Posted by Cher'ley at 09:22 AM on May 08, 2009 Comments comments (2)

Easily Distracted.

I got up at 4 am thinking I would write on my newest book "Mirror, Mirror, Who's the Deadest of Them All", but I paused to check my email and then I checked the online auction for childhood diabetes. http://brendanovak.auctionanything.com/Home.taf

Since I was in the office, I noticed a couple of stacks of unopened mail. And speaking of unopened mail--does anyone else have a mound of mail? By the time, I'd finished sorting I had ½ of a 30-gallon trash bag filled, plus instead of two stacks, I now have 5 stacks that need tending to.

Of course, after sorting some of my paperwork, I had to check out my multi-bank accounts. Also in the stacks of mail were several books. I don't usually have the time to even open one of these magazines, but today I did. I even managed to leaf all the way through two of them. AARP of course and another one that had articles about exercise.

This sent me off to the bathroom to step on my scales. Up 7 pounds. How in the world did that happen? I know. I have Fork and Mouth disease. Let's see what am I suppose to do about that? Oh yeah?Exercise.

Off I skip to my exercise room. I hula-hoop, skip rope, ride my bucking body shaper machine, close my eyes and go to the Alps on my ski machine and finish with the twisting disc. I promised Richard, I'd spend a couple of hours with him later. Richard Simmons, that is. I also promised Rachel, I'd spend an hour with her or maybe I'd visit Shay and we'd belly dance together. This idea sends me back to my computer.

I look at my Wanton Laptop. I'm also watching TV. New Kids on the Block on the Today Show. Where's my MP3 player. I really need to download their songs on there. Instead of my MP3 player, I find a stack of photos that I've been planning to scan onto the computer. That would really reduce some clutter and speaking of clutter. I should go through my knick-knacks and find some to give away. I've really been planning that. The sun is shinning on my laptop as I type this. I turn and look out the window, the grass is so high?

Tomorrow I will get up, really, early (maybe 4 am) and work on my book.

Take a look at the auction. Specials for Writers and Readers + something for everyone  http://brendanovak.auctionanything.com/

I'm trying to do better with my blogging. At least I'm adding some links to this one. I will be adding bits of interesting information and more links later. inks for my website: I'll see how many of these show up. I may have to do them individually.

High Energy

Cher'ley Posted by Cher'ley at 11:12 AM on November 08, 2008 Comments comments (1)

I'm sure trying. I'm at home today, getting pretty excited thinking that perhaps I'll be able to stay home and write verses being on the truck 24/7.

I'm watching the Grind. I need to get up and move my booty. I love spending my hour with Richard and I thought I'd try this video too.

Today, with my wonderful hubby's help, I'm going to start my revision on "Secret in Grandma's Trunk". I want to say thanks to everyone who helped me with this book. Please also pray that I get an agent and get "Antiques and Apparitions" represented. Thanks.

My schedule will tentatively be 2 hours of exercise, 2 hours of computer and other electronic exploration (setting my kitchen timer), writing for 4-6 hours and then reading. Of course I'm realistic and know this won't happen every day, but aspiringly that will be 3+ days a week.

Don't be sad, if you're family, I'll make time for you.

Thanks for stopping by, come back soon.

Fun at the Muse Con

Cher'ley Posted by Cher'ley at 05:51 PM on August 16, 2008 Comments comments (1)

The Muse Online Writers Conference

The ONLY online conference of its kind!

I attended this last year and it was great. Lea does such a wonderful job at everything she does and supports all of us writers all year. She has so much information and encouragement. Carolyn works hard to make this the best conference too. Thanks ladies.

I love everything that says "Muse".

The bad thing about the conference is that I want to sign up for everything. There are some wonderful people who are so talented willing to help us in our careers.

My Bad

Cher'ley Posted by Cher'ley at 11:49 AM on June 08, 2008 Comments comments (0)

Don't you just hate that saying: "My Bad." Boy, did that one get old quick. But, I am bad. Bad about getting a blog done. I really should keep up on it more.

I'm sooo bad, but sooo good at it. We're in a motel in (get ready) Hawthorne, NV. Can you imagine. Well if you can't... A desert, surrounded by mountains, with constant dust blowing around a desolute little town. No Wallyworld! No a lot of things, but I miss Walmart.

This morning I wanted coffee. It's unusual for motels to not have a coffee pot in the rooms, but this one does not. (We had to beg for extra towels.) Anyway, the person in charge of making coffee is a late sleeper. So I rang the bell a few times and then ran.

Novel revision and Word Magic

Cher'ley Posted by Cher'ley at 02:49 PM on February 26, 2008 Comments comments (2)

I'm revising my novel now. Woo-hoo. What a great feeling. I've also been studying a book called Word Magic. It has some interesting points. Like mostly the way words sound or the way you write worda that make a connectiona to each other.  It's a  super spiffy book which shows how to relate similiar words and sounds. I'm having fun with my lessons.

I have a couple of cool people reading my novel and I'm very anxious to see what they have to say. Knock-knock are you still there? LOL A couple of them I haven't heard from in a few days. The one wonderful lady I hear from twice a day.

Today is half over and I haven't done any of my novel chapters yet. I'm trying to revise at least on a day and last night I finished chapter 4. But if I want to get finished and get my manuscript sent off to a professional editor in the next couple of weeks, (which is my goal), I need to get on the move.

I'll have a blog on WOW tomorrow and if I can remember, I'll post the link to it.

I'm adding this link but I don't know where it'll take us.

http://www.blogger.com/home

I have such bad luck with losing blogs that I don't want to leave this page until it's been posted.
